Ray and I had a great love that we both shared. We were both very big supporters of the Boro (Middlesbrough FC). Like most boro fans we learned to be long suffering over the years. But when we got to a Cup Final the Carling Cup it was played in Cardiff I got a ticket as a season ticket holder, I'd been to three finalsand we had lost them all so when it went to Wales there was only one person who was going to get that ticket. Ray lives 25 miles from Cardiff so I gave him the ticket. He had one of the best days of his life and l'm glad I gave him that ticket, it was worth it just knowing that he had got some much joy out of the day. I only wish we could have gone to more matchs together but at least the family have the the thoughts of how happy he was on that day. John
